Mauritius is an island of approximately 1865 Sq. Kms with 330 kms for coastline
almost entirely surrounded by coral reefs, a
central plateau and impressive mountains. It is situated
in the Indian Ocean east of Madagascar. Mauritius is so green
with gardens, flowers and great stretches of sugarcane estates
out of which its craggy, black, mountains rise like real-life
Disneyscapes. These mountains are the remains of old volcanoes
that once belched lava. Wind and rain broke down the lava into
rich soil. |

The Under Sea Walk:
True to its name, it is really under water and it is also a walk.
What is not very well known though, is that you don't have to
know how to swim and that you are only about 10 or 15 feet under
water. There are five excursions a day from main centre in Photo
Grand Bay and each session lasts about 90 minutes and it is perfectly
suitable for children above the age of 7 years.
Parasailing:
Parasailing takes a parachute, a boat, which
fetches you at Grand Bay and takes you right into the blue, and
a desire to have fun. Securely fastened into a harness you will
be eased into the air and find yourself about 500 feet above in
a matter of a few seconds. The boat takes you at varying speeds
and heights, which it controls, and you literally cruise along
like a bird.
Chamarel Coloured Earths:
Founded
in the district of Black River, easily accessed from Case Noyale
by a twisting road, Chamarel Coloured Earth are coloured soils
formed by Volcanic Ashes which are naturally displayed in a pattern
of different colours.
Le
Caudan Waterfront :
Le
Caudan is tourist and Commercial landmark unique in Mauritius.
Le Caudan offers sophisticated shopping and up market entertainment.
A mix of 50 selected retail outlets and a craft market promotes
Le Caudan as a single most popular shopping and leisure destination
for the local population and a grown tourist market.
The
Blue Safari
It
is an interesting name and very apt too. It is a submarine experience
which takes you down 30 metres under the sea to the colour of
the coral and even the wreck of a ship. Seated in an air conditioned
cabin under atmospheric pressure you will be able to discover
the magnificence of the undersea world, colourful coral, glittering
fish and the Starhope wreck.

Port
Louis:
The capital of Mauritius has two Cathedrals,
Anglican and Catholic, 18th century Barracks, a Natural History
Museum. The Worldwide Masks Museum etc.
Curepipe:
It is the island's main urban centre, a
pleasant town which lacks the atmosphere of Port Louis but has
good shops and restaurants. Between Curepipe and Floreal is the
