VARANASI & SARNATH (03 Nights & 04 Days)

Varanasi is an important tourist attraction and pilgrim spot. It is one of the oldest cities in the world that is still inhabited. The city has many tourist spots close to it like Sarnath, which is an important Buddhist tourism spot, Varanasi flourished in the ancient times due to the River Ganges running through the city. The people consider the river as a Goddess and perform many rituals and activities along the banks of the river.

Day 01: Arrival Varanasi 

Check in to hotel and in the evening proceed to Dashashwamedh ghat to enjoy Ganga aarti which is an iconic ritual process done on the banks of the river, every evening to please River Ganges and God of Fire. The ghat will be very crowded during this ritual and you can choose to hire a boat during the ritual to watch the process from the river, on a boat. Overnight stay in Varanasi.

Day 2: Local Sightseeings

The tour starts early in the morning with a Ganges cruise. This boat ride is the best way to enjoy top ghats and rituals performed in each ghat. After the boat ride, begins the temple tour of famous temples like  Kashi Vishwanath and Annapurna temple, Sankat Mochan Hanuman temple, and Manas Mandir. Afternoon visit for shopping and viewing making of famous Banarasi Silk Sarees. Evening free to enjoy the delicacies of Varanasi. Overnight stay in Varanasi.

Day 3: Varanasi – Sarnath (12 Kms / 30 minutes)

Today visit Sarnath, an important Buddhist pilgrim spot where Buddha performed his first sermon after his enlightenment. See many attractions in Sarnath like Dhamekha stupa, Chaukandi stupa, Buddha temples. After lunch, visit archeological museum which contains many Buddha statues, relics, artifacts found during excavation. Evening return to Varanasi and overnight stay in Varanasi.

Day 4: Departure Varanasi 

Proceed to airport to board your onward flight.
