Best time to visit – Oct to Mar (One week dance festival in Feb)
Day 01: Delhi – Khajuraho
Upon arrival, transfer to Hotel. Rest and relax for some time. Evening proceed towards the campus of the Western Group of Temples to enjoy the light and sound show. The show depicts the rise and fall of the Chandela kingdom, along with the personal achievements of the king. Timing 18:30 – 19:30 Hrs (English)&19:40 – 20:35 Hrs (Hindi). During dance festival sound and light show is suspended. Dinner and overnight stay in hotel.
Day 2: Full day Sightseeing – Western Group of Temples
After breakfast the tour starts with visit to the Kandariya Mahadev Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva – is the most ornate, largest and most beautiful temple and is a part of UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its construction dates from 1025 and 1050 AD. Lakshmana Temple stands on a high platform and consists of all the elements of Hindu temple architecture. Matangeshwar Temple, is the only temple that is still actively used for worship. Chitragupta Temple dedicated to Sun God and is the only Sun temple in Khajuraho. Later visit Jagadamba Temple dedicated to Goddess Parvati & Kali.
Day 3: Full day to Explore Eastern & Southern Group of Temples
After breakfast, proceed to explore Eastern Group of temples. There are 31 Jain Temples but from architectural point of view The Parsvanath, The Adinath & Shantinath temples are important and noteworthy temples. Later Visit Duladev Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva & Chaturbhuj Temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu built in 1100 AD in Southern Group of Temples. Dinner & overnight stay in Hotel.
Day 4: Departure Khajuraho
Breakfast at hotel. Check-out and transfer to airport to board flight for onward destination.
