Udaipur & Chittorgarh

Day 01: Arrive Udaipur – local sightseeing

Udaipur – City of Lakes or Venice of East, has beautiful lakes, stunning royal palaces, forts, garden, temples, and mountain. Afternoon visit Jagdish Temple, built by Maharana Jagat Singh and dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Later visit City Palace, built by Maharana Uday Singh in 1754. It is a huge palace, where one-third of it is converted into a museum for public viewing, and rest is still occupied by royal family. Inside the Palace, you can see numerous paintings and artifacts of the royal family. Evening enjoy the sound and light show at city palace. Overnight at hotel.

Day 2: Full day excursion to Chittorgarh (120 Kms/2 hrs- one way)

Chittorgarh is known for its battle between Alauddin Khilji and King Ratan Singh, and Johar of Queen Padmavati along with other royal ladies. The fort is built on a mountain at a height of 180m from the ground and spreads over 240-hectares. Within the fort are Rana Khumba Palace, Meera bai temple, Khumba Shyam Temple and Victory tower. After sightseeing return to Udaipur. Overnight at hotel.

Day 3: Udaipur – Local sightseeing

Visit Saheliyon Ki Bari – “garden of the maids of honour”, it was designed and laid out early in the 18th century as a retreat for ladies of the royal household to spend their time in leisure. The lotus pool, fountains, lawns, flowerbeds, and marble pavilions all combine to make it a captivating place. Afternoon enjoy Boat Ride on Lake Pichola. Evening free for shopping at Hathi Pole Bazaar. Recommended dinner at Natraj Restaurant located in Bapu Bazzar for authentic Rajasthani vegetarian cuisine. Overnight at hotel.

Optional – Full day visit to Nathdwara Temple (45 Kms/1 Hr – one way), enroute optional visit to Ekling Ji temple.

Day 4: Udaipur Departure 

Morning free. Afternoon check out from hotel and Drop to Airport or Railway Station for your return / onward journey.
